East Farm Christmas Shop in Codford Pics by Diane Vose
1 Nov 2016

Visit East Farm Christmas

Set in the heart of the Wylye Valley, East Farm Christmas in Codford is a truly enchanting Christmas shop, and it’s open every day until 23 December.

Now in its seventh year, the East Farm Christmas shop captures the very essence of Christmas – from an encounter with real live nativity animals to a meeting with Father Christmas himself, and the opportunity to purchase the most beautiful Christmas decorations sourced from across the globe.

Every year Jennifer Stratton and her team transform an empty barn into a winter wonderland, complete with grotto, living nativity and a vintage café.  Regular customers see it as an essential part of the festive season, travelling from as far afield as Wales, Grimsby, Liverpool and the Channel Islands just to find the perfect bauble!

Alongside the shop is the charming café, which offers steaming mugs of hot chocolate, delicious homemade cakes, bowls of piping hot soup and the chance for a get together with friends and family.

For children, one of the most memorable and magical moments of the year is meeting with Father Christmas, his arrival by tractor to the farm is always eagerly awaited. Each child who books to meet him has a lovely chat with the man himself, they then receive their own gift and the jolly fellow reads a seasonal story from his simply spectacular grotto! See the website for the dates of his visits.

There is always something new and exciting at East Farm Christmas. This year the selection includes beautifully crafted collectable German music boxes, eye catching table centre pieces and a selection of hilarious hats, footwear and eyewear!

Alongside the shop is the charming café, which offers steaming mugs of hot chocolate, delicious homemade cakes, bowls of piping hot soup and the chance for a get together with friends and family.

At East Farm Christmas, customers can enjoy time away from the stress of overcrowded shops and streets with the added bonus of lots of free parking and friendly helpful staff all willing to help you find the perfect decorations and gifts for one and all. Every year, generations of families, visit the shop, where they find everything from real trees to faux trees, baubles, candles, fun gifts, shimmering lights, beautiful garlands and wreaths, snow globes and traditional music boxes.  The list is practically endless but at East Farm Christmas one thing is for sure – the magic of Christmas truly is under one roof!

Find East Farm on the edge of the village of Codford, just seven miles from Warminster. Follow the signs on the A36 and A303. To find out more call 01985 850982 or email info@eastfarmchristmas.co.uk.
